The provincial government will have to borrow to pay out $600 million in severance to all public servants. The government has a deal worth $250 million with NAPE and is seeking to do the same for all other public sector workers. But the total amount does not cover Nalcor, as it will have to negotiate a similar severance arrangement with its employees. Osborne also said Monday that NAPE members will have the option to delay taking their severance until they retire. NTV’s Michael Connors reports.
