Premier Dwight Ball gave a public vote of confidence to his health minister Wednesday ahead of a meeting with an ophthalmologist from Corner Brook. Dr. Justin French wants to open a private eye-care centre that would do examinations and surgeries, but the idea was rejected by John Haggie. The premier has stepped in to meet with Dr. French with the issue, but Ball says there is no split between him and Haggie. NTV’s Michael Connors reports.
