Last night just after midnight, a call came in to St. John’s Regional Fire Department about a fire in the downtown area. Crews responded to a residence on Colonial Street, where there was a small fire on the top floor of the three-storey building. The fire was quickly extinguished, only minor damage occurred, and nobody was in the residence at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by RNC and fire investigators.
