The Edge is back in action today for Game 2 against the Windsor Express. The best-of-five series began on Friday night. The Edge won in double overtime, 123-120. It was the team’s first ever play-off game.
Carl English was named the league MVP. The St. Bride’s native is currently second in scoring for the entire National Basketball League with 23.9 points per game. Right now, The Edge leads the NBL Canada opening-round playoff series. The team is also second place in their division and second in the league for fan attendance. Friday’s game drew a cheering crowd of over four thousand spectators.
