The leader of the upstart Newfoundland and Labrador Alliance party is calling on Premier Dwight Ball to resign over the controversial hiring of a former liberal campaign staffer to a job inside the confederation building.

Graydon Pelley views the appointment of Carla Foote as an assistant deputy minister as an indication the Premier has lost touch with the will of the people he represents.
