Marystown-native Kaetlyn Osmond finished third in the ladies’ short program in the team figure skating event at the Winter Olympics in South Korea on Sunday.

Osmond scored 71.33, earning eight points for Canada. After the pairs long program, Team Canada sits in first place with 45 points, six points ahead of the Olympics Athletes from Russia and nine points ahead of the United States. There are three more events to go in the competition.

Osmond won a silver medal in the team figure skating event at the last Winter Olympics in Russia.
