A judge had correctional officers remove the man who pleaded guilty to trying to kill Trent Butt removed from the video conference room after he made obscene gestures.
In October, 26-year-old Justin Jordan pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in exchange for attempted murder charge being conditionally withdrawn. Today, appearing from HMP via video, Jordan said he wants to change that plea to not guilty. When he refused to sit, he began yelling at the judge, saying he is innocent. When he made obscene gestures at the judge, including using the finger to make a gun motion, the judge ordered officials to take him away.
He will get a hearing to determine if he can change his plea.
