Good Friday morning, folks!
An area of low pressure will approach western Labrador today. This will bring widespread rain to western Labrador by mid-day and showers to eastern areas by late afternoon. On the Island, a warm front will lift north, well ahead of the low. This warm front will help drive some scattered showers on the West Coast, and a more organized area of rain on the Northern Peninsula this afternoon. Eastern areas see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Central and the West Coast, along with southern areas see mostly cloudy skies by this afternoon.
Temperatures today will peak in the teens to near 20º in Labrador. On the Island expect mid to upper 20s for areas eastern, central and western areas away from the south facing shorelines. Near south facing shorelines expect highs closer to 20º. The Northern Peninsula, and higher elevations of the Long Range Mountains will also see highs closer to 20º today.
Have a great day and I’ll see you this evening on the NTV News starting at 5:30 PM!
