NDP leader Gerry Rogers announced Tuesday she will step down as NDP leader and not seek re-election.
Rogers acknowledged her decision puts the party in a tough situation in an election year, but she could not commit to another four years as an MHA. She said her health is good.
NDP MHA Lorraine Michael said she will not run for the leadership, but she plans to seek re-election in her own district. NDP President Lynn Moore said the party will release details about the leadership process on Wednesday.
