A strong area of low pressure located near New Jersey will move toward Newfoundland and Labrador tonight and will begin to spread messy weather into the region tomorrow afternoon and evening. As it stands now eastern areas will see ice pellets and freezing rain developing tomorrow afternoon, going over to rain by midnight Thursday night. Things may get slippery Thursday evening before the change to rain. Central and western areas, and the South Coast, will see snow developing tomorrow afternoon. It will turn heavy at times tomorrow night before mixing with rain and ice in central by Friday morning. Snow will persist through the day Friday across western areas, while central will see rain showers and snow flurries. Eastern areas will see rain showers on Friday, with highs nearing 10 °C! Southern areas of Labrador will also see snow Friday into Saturday.
The weather tries to improve on Saturday… but for some on the Island snow may linger into Sunday. Full forecast details in the video above!
