DFO in talks with Canadian museum to remove beached whale carcasses

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans is in talks with a Canadian museum to take ownership of the whale carcasses that have washed up in Newfoundland, Fisheries Minister Gail Shea announced Wednesday. The whales will be used to educate museum visitors. Shea says DFO officials are now on site to mitigate public safety risks until the whales are removed. NTV’s Don Bradshaw reports.
