The Crown is looking to have a 37-year-old Goulds man sentenced to five months jail time after he posted intimate images of a woman to his Facebook page without her consent. After having an argument with the woman, Devon Ruby changed his Facebook profile and cover picture to an image that clearly showed the woman’s buttocks while dressed in lingerie. The victim learned about the photo from her mother who saw it. When confronted, Ruby showed no remorse, saying that the complainant looked good in the photo. The Crown says it was Ruby’s way of taking revenge on the woman after the argument and he should be sentenced to five months behind bars, placed on probation and barred from social media for two years. The Defense doesn’t take exception to the probation or social media ban, but says house arrest is more appropriate in this case, and suggest something in the area of three months not five. The judge will hand down his decision next week.
