It’s a first for this province. A counter-terrorism workshop this week has brought together about 60 first responders to prepare for the worst.
Terrorist attacks are becoming all too common. Even in Canada there has been several attacks and, according to officials, this province is not immune. First responders are receiving specialized training from people who have dealt with terrorism first hand. Not only are they looking at what to do should an attack occur, they are also being trained to look for indicators that an attack may be coming.
Officials say training of this type is critical in keeping the province safe.
