The Progressive Conservatives under Ches Crosbie have taken the lead in the latest poll by Corporate Research Associates.

Among decided voters, 42 per cent said they would vote PC if a provincial election were held today, 36 per cent would vote for the governing Liberals and 22 per cent would vote NDP. That question included 517 respondents with a margin of error of ±4.3 percentage points 19 times out of 20.

Among all 800 respondents, 35 per cent were undecided. The poll was conducted from May 3 to 17.

Crosbie is also the most preferred option for premier at 34%, while Dwight Ball is preferred by 27% and NDP leader Gerry Rogers is preferred by 19%.

Asked about government’s performance, 38% said they were satisfied and 56 per cent said they were dissatisfied. The margin of error for the last two questions is ±3.5 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
