The C-NLOPB has suspended operations at the SeaRose FPSO after an incident last year involving an iceberg.
The offshore regulator says the FPSO should have disconnected and sailed away when an iceberg came within 0.25 nautical miles of the vessel. But that did not happen. Instead, personnel were instructed to muster and brace for impact.
The iceberg did not hit the vessel or subsea infrastructure, but the C-NLOPB says it lacks full confidence that Husk will take appropriate action in an emergency situation. The suspension will remain in place until corrective action is taken.
