Beth Crosbie, the sister of PC leader Ches Crosbie, has been nominated to run for the Tories in the 2019 provincial election.
Crosbie secured the nomination Saturday in Virginia Waters-Pleasantville, which is represented by Liberal cabinet minister Bernard Davis. Crosbie lost to Davis in the 2015 election.
The last time a family team sat in the House of Assembly was during the Danny Williams administration, when Tom Osborne, his mother Sheila and uncle Bob Ridgely all represented different St. John’s districts for the Tories.
Beth Crosbie made a name for herself during the last campaign with a series of quirky campaign ads, including one that showed her looking up dictionary definitions of leadership qualities while a tiny fiddler stood on her desk and played the Ode to Newfoundland.
PC MHA David Brazil was also nominated Saturday to run in Conception Bay East-Bell Island.
