An area of low pressure stalled to the south of Newfoundland will drive heavy rain across central and eastern areas from tonight thru late Sunday or Monday. Rainfall Warnings are in effect for the Avalon and Burin Peninsulas, where a widespread 50-75 mm of rain is likely. Some area may see near 100 mm by Monday morning!
While the Big Land will have a quiet day tomorrow, rain and freezing rain are on tap for Sunday. Temperatures will also warm to unseasonable levels through the weekend!
Unsettled weather sticks around into next week as another low moves in by Tuesday. This low will be decidedly colder, and could bring wintry precipitation to parts of the Province by the middle of the week. Get all the details in the video at the top of the page!
Have a great weekend!
