A 22-year-old man from Carbonear is dead after a single-vehicle collision near the Foxtrap Access Road Wednesday night.
Police say it happened on the Trans-Canada Highway around 9 p.m. The vehicle had been travelling west on the TCH when it lost control. It crossed the median into the eastbound lane and came to rest on an embankment.
The 22-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt.
